Someone who disappears from it may have left for the community, moved to another custodian, or been affected by a data update.
The practical substitute is a group of source-specific checks. For one person, call CCDC and search Kentucky VINE. For a local historical interval, ask for the jail's existing release log or export. For a state inmate housed at CCDC, inspect the dated Kentucky Department of Corrections Daily Releases report. A court file can show the order behind bond, dismissal, time served, or another disposition, though the time of an order may differ from the time jail staff finish processing the exit.
Check Clay County 24-Hour Releases
Start by defining the question. A request for everyone who left CCDC differs from a search for one named person, and both differ from a request for KDOC releases at a county jail. Use a date and time range when contacting the custodian. If transfers matter, ask that they be included or marked separately instead of treating every departure as release to the community.

- Search Kentucky VINELink by name and available identifier. Read the precise event, agency, and location rather than treating any custody change as release.
- For a list, request an existing CCDC release-log entry or export for the exact 24-hour span. Ask whether transfers can be identified.
- If KDOC controlled the sentence, check that date's Daily Releases report and KOOL. These state sources do not cover every local jail exit.

The court file adds the legal reason for an exit. Useful records include bond orders, dismissals, judgments, sentencing orders, probation orders, and warrants. Physical release can still wait on another hold, so match the court event to the jail record whenever exact timing matters.
Clay County criminal records can pass through both District and Circuit Court. A felony matter may begin in District Court and later proceed under a Circuit Court number, while a misdemeanor can remain in District Court. Clay County Custody After Release
A person shown on the live CCDC roster is reported in present county custody. A person missing from that roster is not necessarily free. CCDC may have released the person on bond, recognizance, dismissal, time served, sentence expiration, or another court order. It may instead have transferred the person to KDOC, another county jail, federal custody, immigration custody, treatment, or a hospital.
After a state transfer, use Kentucky Online Offender Lookup to compare DOC number, identity, location, supervision status, and projected-release information. A state prisoner can be held at a county jail, so CCDC can appear as a KDOC releasing location. For a federal destination, use the BOP locator. Kentucky VINE can report a release or transfer event, but its event label must be read as written.
Two Clay County Release Layers
Clay County has a local custody layer and a Kentucky corrections layer. The local CCDC record can cover every kind of county-jail exit if the requested log is maintained. KDOC's Daily Releases archive is arranged by date and can name Clay County Detention Center as a releasing location. Its reports list a DOC number, name, type of release, and institution or location for KDOC-tracked events.
Those state reports are useful, but their scope is narrow. They do not become a Clay County 24-hour release list merely because CCDC appears in a report. Similar county names occur in other states, and an app-store result does not establish that a product belongs to the Manchester jail. Use the CCDC booking-photo or release-record request route when an official local record is needed. KOOL may show a photograph for a Kentucky state offender, but that image belongs to the state record and should not be described as a current CCDC booking photo.
